Privacy policy
This policy explains what DF Intelligence Group ("we", "us") collects when you use www.thinkdfi.com, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit an inquiry or request a consultation, we collect the details you enter: name, email address, company, the service you are interested in, your message, and optional budget, timeline and scheduling preferences. If you use the chat assistant, we store the messages you send and the assistant’s replies.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, request path, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability. We store a hashed, non-reversible form of your IP address with inquiries and chat conversations to prevent abuse. We do not store raw IP addresses in our database.
Analytics, only with consent. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It loads only after you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie notice. If you decline, no analytics script loads and no analytics cookie is set. See the cookie policy.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and, if you ask, to schedule a consultation.
- To operate, secure and improve the website, including preventing spam and abuse.
- To understand aggregate site usage, if you have allowed analytics.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the information you submit for advertising or automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process inquiry data on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, server logs and anti-abuse measures on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website, and analytics on the basis of your consent.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: our hosting and deployment provider, our transactional email provider, our database provider, our AI model provider for the chat assistant, and Google for analytics when you have consented. We share information when required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
The chat assistant
The assistant on this site is powered by a third-party large language model. Messages you type are sent to that provider to generate a reply and are stored in our database so our team can follow up. Do not share passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in the chat. The assistant can record an inquiry or a consultation request on your behalf, and will tell you when it does.
Retention
We keep inquiry and chat data for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our business relationship, and then delete or anonymize it. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, use the contact page. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls on our systems, and validation and rate limiting on every form and API endpoint. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
